How Energy4 gets paid explained
- Energy4 are proud of the value Our Service provides to Customers and Energy4 strongly believe Energy4 charge a fair Fee (Commission) for Our Service as per current OfGem, OfWat, OfCom and Trading standard practice. The Commission Fee earned by Us balances the cost to provide Our Services, in line with providing good customer outcomes and retaining Our standing within the market to continue to provide Customers with competitive deals for their Business Utilities. Customers and Consumers not required to make any direct payment to Us for Our Services. By agreeing to use Our Services, Customers and Consumers are agreeing for Us to receive this remuneration for Our Services as set out below. Energy4 provides Commission charge as part of the contract prevision, the charges is explained following OfGem guidelines. Energy4 explains the difference between the Commission Energy4 receives and what is presented on the Contract. - Some Suppliers may make additional payments to Us, e.g., a nominal payment per meter/customer sold successfully to that Supplier. The nature and value of these additional payments may vary based on Product, Supplier and in the future. However, these payments do not impact the impartiality of Our Services.
- Energy4 receives commissions during the period of the contract term, however Energy4 can lose these commissions if Your business ceases trading, involved in debt disputes with suppliers, acquires contracts fraudulently by mispresenting company registration, false credit score, false assets, and misrepresenting the business interests of a company, the Director and/or Business owners, and involved in criminal activity including and excluding etc., Energy4 can loose the contract with the supplier forfeiting all commission. You the business owner accept that Energy4 will be paid commissions based on work performed and be fully liable through the claims court to provide this.

- Energy4 receive a Fee for Our Service directly from the Supplier when an energy Contract procured via Us goes Live. The Fee is included within the Customer’s unit cost of energy usage as pence per kWh, by way of a small uplift to the Customer’s unit rate. Because Our Fee is based on Estimated Annual Energy Consumption, at the point the Customer agrees a Contract the Fee amount is an estimate. The calculation for Our Fee is uplift multiplied by the Estimated Annual Energy Consumption and multiplied by the Contract term.
- Due to the way Energy4 are remunerated, Energy4 only offer business energy prices from the Suppliers who are live on Our panel, rather than the whole market. Because Our Fee is based on Estimated Annual Energy Consumption, they are forecast amounts.
- Energy4 can be paid via payment of invoice for the prevision of prices and supplier option if You the client are is only interested in acquiring market prices. These charges will be at Energy4 discretion.
Water (How Energy4 Get Paid Page)
- Energy4 receive a Fee from Our Partner for the introduction of Customers to their service. This is included within the cost of the Customer’s water retail service fee by way of a small uplift applied to usage over the life of the Contract, which therefore would be included within the cost of the Contract the Customer agrees via Us.
- Energy4 can be paid via payment of invoice for the prevision of prices and supplier option if You the client are is only interested in acquiring market prices. These charges will be at Energy4 discretion.
Telecoms (How Energy4 Get Paid Page)
- Energy4 receive a retail introduction fee directly from Our telecoms Partners for the introduction of a Customer to their telecoms services. The fee is paid per telecoms Contract and the amount may vary dependant on the package taken.
- Energy4 can be paid via payment of invoice for the prevision of prices and supplier option if You the client are is only interested in acquiring market prices. These charges will be at Energy4 discretion.
Other (How Energy4 Get Paid Page)
- For Customers and Consumers who are interested in other services, Energy4 transfer them (in line with Our Privacy Policy) to the relevant Partner, for the Partner to provide a comparison for the specific product/service (“Referral Services”), Energy4 are paid by Our Partner Compare Energy Tariffs
How Energy4 Get Paid Page To Provide Services
– Is acting as an independent thirdparty introducer for all energy suppliers, not an agent, not affiliated to any supplier. Example Bionic is affiliated with suppliers directly.
– Perform credit checks with our business (and/or our directors/partners/owners). Client credit levels will limit which suppliers are available. Client must consider keeping their online credit score updated.
– Receives a fixed commission from the appointed energy supplier in consideration for introducing energy supply contract(s)
– Commission shall be incorporated into the energy supply unit rates as agreed with the energy supplier as a pence per kWh price uplift for the duration of the energy supply contract. No uplift added to the standing charge.
– Energy4 is not in any direct contract with any specific utility company directly, this means Enery4 does not receive any fixed income from any supplier to field them clients.
– Energy4 operates commercially on commissions received only from utility contracts that are sold and reach their contract end dates. Without commissions Energy4 cannot operate as a business. Energy4 can provide utility prices at cost if a client is only collecting prices, and does not want to proceed with any contract with Energy4.
· In some instances, due to the nature of specific industries uplift is required to be added to energy supply contract(s) Example SSE adds an Electricity/Gas Portfolio Premium of 1.5+ pence for any Takeaways, pubs, clubs and restaurants. Credit requirements by SSE may request an extra 0.63+ pence be added.
· Please note SSE reduces their rates (unit/day/night/evening/weekends) charge during the sale process by temporarily removing the FIT charge. All energy utility prices provided by Energy4 T/A Fourthcourt Ltd will include the FIT charge. FIT is mandatory by OfGem and Energy Ombudsman to be included in all prices provided.
· Details of applicable uplift(s), including how they are calculated, have been confirmed to [us/me] separately by Energy4 T/A Fourthcourt Ltd and are agreed by the business owner
· This letter of authority is effective from the date of signature and remains valid for a period of 12 months from such date. This letter of authority supersedes all previous letters of authority. Please retain this for your records
